HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The number of treatments can vary depending on the individual and can be influenced by skin type, hair colour, medications, and hormones. On average, 8 – 10 treatments are required to achieve the most significant hair reduction results. More sessions may be needed for individuals with persistent hair or PCOS.
WHAT IF I HAVE PCOS OR OTHER HORMONAL IMBALANCES?
Clients with hormonal imbalances or Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) are recommended to consult an Endocrinologist for evaluation and possible medical treatment. These clients tend to have excess hair growth secondary to their medical condition and may find that they require both medical treatment as well as ongoing laser treatment, in order to achieve optimum results.
HOW OFTEN WILL TREATMENTS BE NEEDED?
As hair growth is cyclical, it is recommended that a treatment is completed every 4 – 6 weeks. However, your therapist will monitor your progress and adjust your treatment plan, if required. We recommend that clients adhere to their treatment plan, as clients who miss an appointment or leave a long period of time between treatments will not achieve optimum results.
WHAT DOES TREATMENT FEEL LIKE?
Using a continuous wave diode laser, combined with in-motion technology and a sophisticated cooling tip, our 3 wave diode laser is virtually pain free. At most, you may feel slight heat or the sensation of having a rubber band flicked against the skin.
